Interesting that no one has responded. I have worked on and owned a number of 1928 to 1935 Cadillacs with the 341 and 355 engine. I have had in my possession one 1930 LaSalle engine transmission. I could se NO external difference that would prevent the LaSalle engine and transmission from going into 27 or later LaSalle. The engine mount up front did change, but was the same for 1929.
BTW, I have a 1929 Cadillac 341 running engine and transmission in a complete chassis with Buffalo wire wheels available. I'm in Napa, Ca.
The lack of response is more evidence to me that our hobby demands are changing. Not so many fellows are after the early classic era Cadillacs and LaSalles like the fever we felt in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Project cars have very much slipped out of favor. Even good driver quality cars are slumping in sales price due to an over supply of cars entering the market and an under supply of buyers, down goes the price. Then couple that to the current shop costs for some specialty work, ( considering a reduced end value). Oh well.... There are a few of us still messing around. Thanks for your response.

Agreed that the “fever we felt in the 70s, 80s and 90s” is gone. While costs have increased, the lack of demand and resulting lower prices have expanded choices in every price range and condition (except at the very top).
Yes indeed as is evident when you go to cars shows. Very few prewar carsƒÿÆ
If you can locate an old Holland Interchange manual that would answer the question. Maybe someone at a specific Cadillac LaSalle club could provide the answer. I'm sure that small block Chevy would fit. (Just kidding!)
