Jim is a good friend and a true car guy. Can anyone help? Thanks, Ed.
Still Looking. Any Leads??? Thanks
I've been involved in similar discussions many times, where people want old material to put on a car to keep the "original" streak alive.
Just two days ago, looked at some leather seats that were in tatters, and owner just wanted to "spruce them up" a little and save them. Not going to happen.
You cannot sew old leather, nor old top material, to fit a new application. The sew line just becomes a zipper where the leather or fabric will fail.
I appreciate the desire to do what you're saying, but it's very difficult.
