What to use to clean 100 year old car

I have a 1919 Olds that I want to preserve what's left of its finish. Clay bar is out as I don't want to grab the peeling paint edges any more than necessary. Isn't there an oil based cleaner restorers use to leave the patina? I would peg the finish as similar to the one on the 23 Stutz Bearcat…

I re watched the episode and its a 21 Stutz. The fellow said in general he used a metal protectant to preserve the bare spots and joked guys are paying big money to get the same look on new cars. Does this trip any triggers? Can't say I've heard of metal protectant.

Try a cup of kerosene in a bucket of water. Wash it down with this and let it dry.

Rub on a very thin coat of linseed oil and let dry. Be care with the leftover rags because they can spontaneously combust if wadded up and left out in the air.
