2013 Annual MeetingIn preparation for the 2013 CCCA Annual Meeting (February 27-March 3, 2013), we are recruiting Classics to be displayed for the Saturday of that event. Our host hotel is the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, a resort with a history comparable to that of our Classics.

The original hotel was constructed in 1906 and it opened the following year as Hotel Wentworth. Railroad tycoon and art collector Henry Huntington purchased the Hotel Wentworth in 1911, renaming it the Huntington Hotel. Prominent Los Angeles architect Myron Hunt was responsible for the redesign of the main building and the grounds. The hotel reopened in 1914 “as Midwestern and Eastern entrepreneurs discovered California’s warm winter climate”. Now you can, too!

The hotel encompasses 23 acres in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Prized among the hotel’s many features is the Horseshoe Garden located behind the hotel. Imagine the expansive green lawn filled with Classics with the stately hotel façade as a backdrop. We are extending a special invitation to those cars with Pasadena history – Classics bodied by Murphy, Bohman & Schwartz and maybe even the elusive Kirchhoff-bodied Classic.

The registration form for your Classic can be found through this link. All Classics are welcome whether they are judged or simply exhibited. Speaking of judging, our Club only presents a Best of Show award once a year – at the Annual Meeting. The Roy Warshawsky Award is determined by the National Head Judge, the National Awards Chairman and the Area Head Judge from the highest scoring Classics at the Annual Meeting.

Please join us for this historic event. And bring your Classic, too.
